Maggie DiNome, MD, FACS is a board-certified general surgeon who focuses her clinical expertise and research interests on cancer surgery and advanced laparoscopic techniques. She is particularly dedicated to caring for patients with breast and colorectal cancer. As a surgical breast specialist, Dr. DiNome focuses on the aesthetic aspects of breast surgery, for patients with benign disease as well as breast cancer. Dr. DiNome is also currently writing a book on breast cancer to help patients better understand the disease and to help them navigate their way towards a cure. She has published several articles in leading peer-reviewed journals in both cancer and general surgery fields.
Along with being the Associate Director of the Margie Petersen Breast Center, Dr. DiNome is the Chief of General Surgery at Saint John’s Health Center. Dr. DiNome has also served as the Co-Chair of the Cancer Committee, as well as the Cancer Liaison Physician. She has been on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society Los Angeles Coastal Cities unit, and is a Fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology.
